QA Manager
We are looking for a QA Manager that is passionate about software quality to lead our dynamic QA team. The QA Manager is responsible for our quality strategy, leading the testing team, implementing new test tools and processes, and overseeing the software release process. You will lead our team of skilled mobile testing engineers, directing their work, developing their skill sets, and growing the team. You will oversee and improve our testing tools, looking for ways to improve software quality through process, tooling, and partnerships. You will expand our test libraries, while advancing our automated testing efforts. Finally, you will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and our Client Services team to coordinate software releases and deliver on our quality commitments. You must bring a balance of strong technical testing experience along with excellent communication and team skills, and success will be yours at Verivo!
Requirements
- College graduate with 5+ years of experience as a software or QA engineer and 2+ years managing a commercial software testing team of 10+ engineers
- Direct experience supervising, training, hiring, and conducting performance reviews for QA teams; experience managing offshore testing teams is preferred
- Hands-on expertise in writing software test plans and test scripts, and proven experience designing and implementing software testing strategies
- Mobile testing experience is a strong plus (Android, iPhone/iPad, BlackBerry, Windows Phone)
- Experience managing complex testing environments including VMWare virtual servers, Microsoft IIS and SQL Server, Windows servers, and related testing infrastructure
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with SQL and one or more programming or scripting languages (C/C++, Java, Python, Perl)
- Experience with automated testing tools and continuous integration is a plus, including Selenium, JUnit, NUnit, FitNesse, CruiseControl, and Ant
