WALTHAM, MA – Nov. 7, 2011 – Pyxis Mobile, provider of the only mobile application development platform designed to meet customers’ constantly changing needs, today announced the appointment of two new vice presidents – Danielle Lee is named vice president of marketing programs and Parna Sarkar-Basu is named vice president of marketing communications. The company also announced the promotion of executive vice president of marketing and strategic alliances Christopher P. Willis to the newly created position of chief marketing officer (CMO).
Lee and Sarkar-Basu – two proven industry leaders – will focus on lead generation and corporate awareness strategies respectively, while Willis will drive overall marketing strategy, including global market expansion and channel development.

Lee will drive marketing programs strategy, focusing on creating new business opportunities through targeted programs. She brings more than 15 years of experience leading global B2B marketing programs for software and software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions in enterprise and small and medium business (SMB) markets. Lee has proven success overseeing the launch of new products and driving high growth for several corporate and start-up technology businesses, including Vistaprint, PTC and Copanion (acquired by Drake Software). While at Vistaprint, Lee led a team responsible for a $120 million e-commerce business and drove marketing programs that delivered 20% year-over-year growth.
Sarkar-Basu will drive corporate branding, content marketing and communications strategy to increase brand awareness for the company. She has a track record of developing and managing strategic global communications programs and corporate marketing initiatives, as well as IPO and M&A communications campaigns. She was instrumental in designing the highly successful corporate branding initiative and thought leadership campaigns for iRobot and Invention Machine. Prior to joining Pyxis Mobile, Sarkar-Basu was responsible for global communications and partner marketing for PTC Global Services.
As a mobile industry pioneer, Willis has set the direction for mobile application platform marketing for more than a decade, establishing Pyxis Mobile as a global leader in the market. He has remained at the forefront of the industry, propelling Pyxis Mobile to a leadership position in a rapidly evolving segment. As the CMO, Willis will be responsible for all aspects of marketing, from strengthening the company’s presence in the industry to identifying market expansion opportunities. Prior to joining Pyxis Mobile, Willis held marketing, creative, technical, and business development roles at various companies, including KPMG-CT, a division of KPMG Management Services in the Netherlands, ModelGolf and Cambridge Technology Group.
